Authorities discourage tourists from visiting Sajek

The authorities have called on the tourists to refrain from visiting the Sajek Valley of Baghaichhari upazila, Rangamati.

The announcement came through a press release signed by Additional District Magistrate Pathan Mohammad Saiduzzaman and sent to the media on Monday night (February 24).

According to the notice, considering tourist safety after the massive fire in Sajek tourist area, travellers are discouraged from visiting the destination from Tuesday until further notice.

Earlier, a fire broke out around 1:00 pm at a resort and spread to adjacent areas burning 90-95 resorts, cottages, restaurants, shops and local dwellings.
