KUET closed sine die

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) has been closed for an indefinite period.

The decision was taken in the 99th emergency meeting of the syndicate of the university.

On Tuesday evening, a press release signed by Public Relations Officer (Additional Duty) of the university Shaheduzzaman Sheikh said this. 

According to the press release, all residential halls of the university will remain closed from 10 am on Wednesday until further notice. 

In addition, all academic activities will also be closed until further notice.

In last week, at least 50 students were injured in a series of clashes between ‘general students’ and the JCD activists over banning student politics on the campus.
