Following the announcement of an indefinite closure, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) students began leaving the residential halls on Wednesday morning (February 26).
The students said they are going home for the sake of overall safety.
Ratul Das, a fourth-year student of KUET's Energy Science and Engineering Department, said, "Many students have already left the hall. The rest may also leave the hall. However, the movement will continue."
In last week, at least 50 students were injured in a series of clashes between ‘general students’ and the JCD activists over banning student politics on the campus.
