Earthquake jolts Rangpur

An earthquake, measuring 5.5 magnitude on Richter Scale, jolted Rangpur and nearby areas early Friday (February 28).
The earthquake felt at around 3:06 PM on Friday and lasted for a few seconds, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
Mostafizur Rahman, in-charge of Rangpur Meteorological Department confirmed the matter this morning.
According to the, India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the earthquake originated 10 kilometers from Nepal-China border area Kedari at a depth of 10 kilometers.
