2 siblings among 3 killed in Chattogram road accident

Three people, including two siblings, were killed when a passenger bus rammed a battery-run auto rickshaw on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in Dohazari upazila of Chattogram on Thursday morning (March 13).

The deceased were known as Wakar Uddin Adil, 12, and his sister Umme Habiba Rizvi, 15, children of Jasim Uddin, and auto rickshaw driver Ruhul Amin, 45.

Police and local sources said the Chattogram-bound bus hit the rickshaw in the area around 8:30am, leaving two persons dead on the spot and injured one person. Later, the injured died on the way to hospital.

Dohazari highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Suranjan Chakma confirmed the matter.
