1 killed in UPDF-JSS firing in Rangamati

A member of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) was shot dead in an alleged attack by the Parbatya Chattogram Jana Sanghati Samiti (JSS) in Manikchhari upazila of Rangamati on Sunday (March 16).

The deceased was known as Nirmal Khisa, 32, son of Sunil Bihari Khisa.

Sachal Chakma, UPDF Organizer of Rangamati District said that a group of 6-7 armed terrorists of the JSS Santu group attacked the UPDF members. Meanwhile, UPDF member Nirmal Khisa was shot dead in the spot.

Rangamati Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahed Uddin said, "We have received information that one UPDF person was killed in the UPDF-JSS gunfight."
