Dhaka-Mymensingh highway blocked, traffic movement stopped

Workers of a factory in the Telipara area of Gazipur have blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway demanding salaries of the month of February. As a result, traffic movement on this highway has remained closed. 

It was seen that passengers and drivers of various vehicles were facing huge sufferings.

Workers of the Lumen Textile factory blocked the highway at around 3:30 pm on Sunday (March 16). 

The workers said that the factory authorities delay paying salaries every month. They were earlier asked to pay salaries on the occasion of the month of Ramadan. The salaries were supposed to be paid today. Now the authorities have said that they will not pay salaries today. 

It has become difficult to run a family without salaries during the month of Ramadan. This is why the workers have blocked the highway.
