BNP leader hacked dead in Dhamrai

A BNP leader named Abul Kashem, 57, has been hacked dead at board daylight in Dhamrai of Dhaka. 

The family claims that he was hacked to death over a land business dispute.

The family claims that before his death Abul Kashem had mentioned several names involved in the murder.

He was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar at around 1 pm on Thursday (March 20), where doctors declared him dead. 

Earlier, miscreants hacked him on the road near his house in Jalsa area of Gangutia union of the upazila at around 11:30 am and fled the spot. 

The deceased Abul Kashem is the son of the late Raiz Uddin Master. He was the senior vice-president of Gangutia union unit of BNP.

Dhamrai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Monirul Islam confirmed the matter.
