Rohingya trawler capsizes in Naf River, 25 rescued

A trawler carrying Rohingya refugees capsized in the Naf River near Shah Porir Dwip in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar in the wee hours of Saturday.
So far, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has managed to rescue 25 Rohingyas alive. However, 40 people are still missing.
Lt Col Md Ashiqur Rahman, the commanding officer of BGB's Teknaf 2 Battalion, confirmed the matter.
So far, BGB has managed to rescue 25 Rohingyas alive and has continued its effort to rescue the missing people.
The incident took place at around 2:30am through the Poshchim Para ghat of Shah Porir Dwip. The Rohingyas were attempting illegal entry to Bangladesh from Myanmar.
Local fishermen claimed there were around 60/70 people on board the trawler.
