Two killed in Jashore road accident

Staff Correspondent, Jashore: At least two people were killed and seven others injured when a three-wheeler collided with a passenger bus on Jashore-Benapole highway in Sharsha upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Jahid Hossain, 42, son of Faruk Hossain and Ziarul Islam, 28, son of Nurali Sardar.

Police and locals said the accident took place in Shamalgachi area of Sharsha upazila when the two vehicle collided this morning, leaving nine people injured.

Later, the injured were sent to Sharshar upazila hospital and Jashore General Hospital where duty doctors declared the two people dead.

Navaron Highway police outpost in-charge Paliton Mia confirmed the matter.
