Youth arrested over distorting PM’s photo

Laxmipur Correspondent: Police arrested a youth for allegedly posting a distorted photo of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook at Kamalnagar in Laxmipur.

The arrestee was known as Enayet Hossain, 26, son of Safiullah of Charpagla village of the upazila.

Monir Hossain, son of Anisul Haque of Char Thika village, filed the with Kamalnagar Police Station under section 57 of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) Act on Tuesday morning.

Later, Enayet was arrested and sent him to jail through a district court at the noon.

It was understood that Enayet opened a Facebook account in name of Monir Hossain and posted a distorted photo of PM on it.

Jahir Uddin, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kamalnagar Police Station, confirmed the news.
