Husband kills wife in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A housewife was chopped to death by her husband in the district on Wednesday midnight.

The incident took place in Noyanpur area of Gazipur sadar upazila.

The deceased was identified as Champa Begum (30), daughter of Nurul Gazi at Galachipa thana in Patuakhali.

According to sources, her husband Rafiqul Islam chopped her to death over the family feud on Wednesday midnight and fled the spot.

Police recovered the dead body and is trying to arrest Rafiqul Islam.
