Throat-slit bodies of woman, grandchild found in Rajbari

Rajbari Correspondent: Miscreants slit throats of a woman and her grandchild to death at their own house of Pashchim Mulgor of the district’s sadar upazila on Friday.

The deceased were known as Shaheda Begum, 45, and her grand-daughter (daughter of son) Lamia Akter, 6.

Asma Siddiqui Mili, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Rajbari, confirmed the news.

She said, “Relatives noticed them lying in pool of blood in their living room as they could not see them till noon. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.”

She, however, could not tell about the motive of the murder immediately.
