Two killed in Cumilla road crash

Cumilla Correspondent: Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Nazirabazar area under Burichang upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Farhana Begum, wife of Ashraful Alam and her daughter Kanij Kanchan, hailed from Udayanbagh area of the upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Mainamati Highway Police Station Mahbubur Rahman said a microbus rammed two women in the area when they tried to cross the highway, leaving them critically injured.

Later, the injured were admitted at Combined Military Hospital in Cumilla where they died under treatment.
