76 held in Satkhira police drive

Satkhira Correspondent: Police, in special drives from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, arrested 76 persons, including six activists of Jamaat-Shibir men from eight thanas of the district.

District police officials said they were picked up from different areas of the district on various charges.

During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 20 persons, Kalaroa police arrested 9 persons, Tala police arrested 4, Kaliganj police arrested 10, Shyamnagar police arrested 11, Assasuni police arrested 8, Patkelghata police arrested 3and Debhata police arrested 5.

Inspector of Satkhira district police Special Branch Azam Khan confirmed the matter.
