Chalan Beel boat capsize: 2 missing found dead

Pabna Correspondent: Bodies of two people, who went missing as a boat sank in the Chalan Beel in Chatmohar upazila on Friday evening, were recovered on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shahanz Pervin Parul, wife of columnist Mosharraf Hossain Musa, and Momtaz Pervin Sheuli, wife of scientific officer Billal Hossain Goni of Ishwardi Regional Agricultural Research Station.

A team of divers recovered the bodies, said Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Oshim Kumar.

Besides, three people, including Billal, still remain missing.

Five people went missing as a boat sank in the beel around 7:30 pm on the day when a crack developed at its bottom.

All but five passengers swim ashore, said Taposh Kumar Paul, senior assistant superintendent of Chatmohar circle police.
