Ex BCL Joint Secy shot dead

Cumilla Correspondent: A Chhatra League leader of Cumilla District south unit has been shot dead by miscreants.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 45, a former joint secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).

Cumilla Sadar south police station and locals said that the victim was staying in Shambaksi area of the city around 9:00pm on Monday. Meanwhile, some unidentified miscreants opened fire aiming his head, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Cumilla police super Syed Nurul Islam said police is investigating the issue. The criminals will be arrested soon.
