Polls atmosphere very good, not conflicting: Muhith

Staff Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith said the overall atmosphere for the upcoming 11^th parliamentary elections slated for December 30 is good, not conflicting.

The finance minister made the comment while talking to reporters at the premises of Sylhet deputy commissioner’s office around 2:30pm on Wednesday.

“Awami League will secure a landslide victory in this election as it has taken the country to a new height. Critics may raise questions about the polls atmosphere but to me, a very good atmosphere for the polls is prevailing in the country and this time it is not conflicting,” Muhith said.

This time, Muhith is not contesting in the national elections for Sylhet-1 constituency and he will be replaced by his younger brother Dr. AK Abdul Momen, who had been serving as the Bangladesh Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN in New York.
