Farmer killed by cousin in Rangpur

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: A farmer has been stabbed to death by his cousin in a trifle matter in the district’s Mithapukur.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah, 35, son of Abdul Hamid at Batason Fatepur village under Latibpur union of the upazila.

Four people were also injured in the incident.

According to sources, Hanif and Touhidul locked into an altercation with Abdullah over the cultivation of a land on Tuesday noon. On Wednesday morning, Hanif and Touhidul attacked the house of Abdullah with sharp weapons. At one stage,  Touhidul’s son Sadeq Ali stabbed Abdullah, leaving his seriously injured.

Abdullah was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
