Commando operation ends as hijacker held

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Commando team of Army have taken control of Bangladesh Biman flight which fell in hijack attempt by an armed man in Chattogram on Sunday.

The suspected hijacker was held with bullet injury.

Biman General Manager (public relations) Shakil Meraz and also Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) also confirmed the news.
The commando force made the operation around 7:30pm. They were able to nab the suspect with bullet injury. The situation was under control till the report was filed around 8:21pm.

Earlier, the armed man attempted to enter the cockpit of BG-147 of Bangladesh Biman just after it took off at Dhaka airport. But he failed.

Sensing the matter, the pilot made emergency landing at Hazrat Shah Amanat Airport. Then, all passengers were brought out safely.
