‘Dacoit’ lynched in Ishwardi

Pabna Correspondent: A suspected dacoit was killed by angry mobs in district’s Ishwardi upazila on Friday midnight.

The deceased could not be identified yet.

According to locals and police, a gang of 10/11 dacoits committed robbery to the house of late Halim Uddin at Potirajpur. Later, they went to the house of Hafej Tajul Islam for robbery. 

Sensing the presence of dacoits, the villagers chased the dacoits and caught one of them. Later, locals gave him a good beating, leaving his dead on the spot.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi Thana Bahauddin Faruki confirmed the matter.
