Trader shot dead by robbers in Lakshmipur

Lakshmipur Correspondent: A trader was gunned down by robbers at Jhaudogi village under Kushakhali union of Lakshmipur Sadar upazila on Monday midnight.

The deceased was identified as Mosleh Uddin, 40, son of Dudu Patwary, and Azad Patwary, general secretary of Kushakhali union unit of Juba League.   He was a meat trader at local Chowdhury Bazar.

The robbers also stabbed and beat four people. They are his father Dudu Patwary, 75, his mother Ayesha Begum, 60, brother Milon Hossain, 30,  and son Arman Hossain, 13. They are being treated at the Sadar Hospital.

According to sources, a gang of robbers riding on motorcycles broke into Mosleh Uddin’s house and stabbed his family members.

When Mosleh returned home and saw the situation, he shouted for help. But the robbers shot him before fleeing with valuables.

Mosleh succumbed to his injuries while being taken to a hospital.
