Woman gang raped in Ashulia, 4 arrested

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Four young men have been arrested for allegedly raping a women in Ashulia, on the outskirts of capital Dhaka.

Police arrested the four young men after conducting drives at different places in Ashulia on Tuesday morning.

The arrestees are Nur Mohammad Polash, 21, Sujon Shikdar, 20, Ferdous, 25, and Kobir Hossain, 30.

Another accused Abdur Razzak is now on the run.

The victim and her husband were attacked by miscreants in Katgora area of Ashulia. The attackers beat up her husband and tied him to a tree before raping her, locals said.

She filed a case with Ashulia police today in this connection.

Confirming the matter, Inspector Md Ziaul Islam of Ashulia Police Station said the victim was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical tests.
