Old man killed in Barisal road crash

Staff Correspondent, Barisal: An old man was killed in a road crash on Barisal-Dhaka highway in Ujirpur upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Confirming the news, Sheikh Atiar Rahaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gournadi Highway Police Station, said the 70-year old man was run over by an unknown vehicle in the morning.

Locals claimed that the man was mentally imbalanced.
