Husband ‘slaughters’ his wife

A woman named Shilpi Begum has allegedly been slaughtered by her husband at Dorjapurura village of Vawal union of Saltha upazila in Faridpur district. 

Police recovered the body from the field beside his house around 8.00pm on Friday.

The deceased was the daughter of Shahjahan Mollah of the same village. She was the worker of Karim Jute Mills.

Shilpi, 22, married to Rana Sheikh and they have a three-year-old daughter named Lamiya.                                   

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Saltha Police Station Md. Ali Jinnah confirmed the matter and told risingbd, “Being informed, police recovered the body and sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Local people caught an assistant of Rana and handed over to the police”.  

The deceased’s father has filed a murder case against her husband and one of his assistants.
