Jubo League leader held with huge firearms

Police have detained a Jubo League leader and an arms trader with huge firearms in Joypurhat sadar upazila.

The detainees were identified as Ranju Sarkar, son of Mintu Sarkar and general secretary of Jamalpur unit of Juba League, and Akkas Ali, son of Suruz Ali at Ziapur village under Khetlal upazila.

Police arrested them from Charmatha area of Jamalganj on Monday midnight.
Police recovered four foreign pistols, four bullets, four magazines and six cocktails.
