2 killed in Jashore road accidents

Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Jashore on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shahabur Mia, 45, son of Mahtab Ali Mia of Choto Solua village in Chuadanga district and Mohiuddin Molla, 50, son of Jamir Molla of Joinagar village in Jashore.

Inspector of Jashore Kotwali police station Sheikh Tasmim Alam said a pickup carrying vegetables collided with another one in the morning, leaving Shahabur Mia dead on the spot.

In another accident, Mohiuddin was killed after a pickup ran over him on Jashore-Magura road in Bahadurpur area of Jashore around 6:00am. Mohiuddin was a night guard.

Two separate cases were filed with Jashore Kotwali police station in this connection.
