25 injured in Brahmanbaria clash

At least 25 people were injured in a clash between two groups over establishing supremacy in Brahmanbaria district on Wednesday.

The clash took place at Shantipur village under Sonarampur union of Bancharampur upazila.

About 20-25 houses were damaged during the clash.

According to sources, two Awami League leaders Farid Mia and Moti Mia had a conflict for a long time.

On Wednesday morning supporters of two leaders locked into an altercation over that triggered a clash.

Additional policemen have been deployed in the area.
