Food items distributed among bohemian community in Bagerhat

Local administration has distributed food items among the bohemian community in Bagerhat district as they are facing food crisis during countrywide shutdown.

Bagerhat sadar upazila administration distributed essential items among 47 families of bohemian community at Khanjahan Ali Mazar More on Monday morning.

Every family got 10 kgs of rice, 2 kgs of potatoes, one kg lentil, oil, salt, onion and soap.

Bagerhat Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Kamrul Islam, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Sardar Nasir Uddin, UNO Tanjilur Rahman and local union parishad Chairman Akhteruzzaman Bachchu were present.

Meanwhile, 4000 soaps, masks and leaflets were distributed in Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat to prevent coronavirus.

Chairman of Fakirhat Sadar Union Parishad and Upazila Awami League Secretary Shirina Akhter distributed the materials.
