Cop among 3 detected with coronavirus positive in Khulna

Three people including a police man have tested coronavirus positive in Khulna.

They were detected on Sunday after testing samples of 154 people were tested at lab of Khulna Medical College.

The infected people are known as police constable Ali Azam, 50, Tahmina Beguma, 70, and her daughter Chompa Begum, 32.

Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed confirmed the news.

He said of the infected, police constable is resident of the city’s Nirala area. He came to Khulna from the capital’s Razarbag a week ago. He is currently undergoing treatment at his home.

Two other infected are residents of Mirpur upazila in Kustia. With them, a total of 14 people were detected with coronavirus positive in Khulna Medical College lab, he said.
