Sholakia not to host Eid congregation this year

Eid prayers will not to be held at the country’s largest Eid congregations at Sholakia Eidgah in Kishoreganj this year.

Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) and President of Sholakia Eidgah Committee Md Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury confirmed the news on Friday.

He said, “The Ministry of Religious issued directives not hold Eid congregations at open places for the sake of life security amid coronavirus pandemic. As per the directives, Eid congregation will not be held at Sholakia Eidgah this year.”
