Tangail road accident leaves 3 dead

Three people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail early Sunday (June 28).

The incident took place in Charpara bypass area on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangbandhu bridge highway.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Md Moniruzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gorai highway police station, said a Bogura-bound truck carrying iron sheets crashed into the road divider, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were admitted to Kumudini hospital, the OC said.
