Jashore Covid-19 cases rise to 599

44 more coronavirus or Covid-19 patients have been detected in Jashore in last 24 hours, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 599.

Jashore Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Abu Shahin confirmed the information on Tuesday (June 30).

Of those newly infected, 35 were from Jashore Sadar upazila, seven from Monirampur upazila and two from Jhikorgachha upazila, the civil surgeon said.

A total of 12 people have died and 172 recovered from the deadly virus so far in the district, he said.
