Ferry capsize: Rescue operations begin for fourth day

The salvage operations for RoRo ferry Shah Amanat, which capsized at Paturia Ghat in Manikganj, began for the fourth day on Saturday morning.
The salvage operations began at 8.00am.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority’s Joint Director for Aricha office Sanowar Hossain confirmed the news.
BIWTA’s RoRo ferry Shah Amanat capsized near Paturia's fifth ferry terminal while preparing to dock on Wednesday morning. It was carrying 14 goods-laden trucks and four motorcycles at the time. 12 vehicles have been recovered so far.
