Tk 9.5 lakh looted from ATM booth, bank officer arrested

Abu Raihan, a bank officer, has been arrested for looting about Tk 9.5 lakh from an ATM booth of Prime Bank in Rangpur city.

Later, the court sent the bank officer to jail on Sunday.

Rangpur PBI Police Super ABM Jakir Hossain confirmed the news.

Miscreants looted Tk 9.63 lakh from an ATM at the ground floor of Rangpur Bhaban by opening the cash box with a password.

According to sources, the password was known to only two persons.

Assistant Vice President of Rangpur Prime Bank branch Pijush Kumar Roy filed a case under digital security act.
