Jamuna water flowing at 17cm above danger level

The water level of Jamuna river is flowing at 17cm above the danger level.
The water continued to increase in the river for few days at Sariakandi Point due to heavy rainfall and onrush of hilly water.
Jamuna river was flowing 16.87cm above the danger level at Mothurapara point at 9:00 am on Saturday (June 18), confirmed Mahbubur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board in Bogura.
Due to the rise in the water level of Jamuna river, houses and educational institutions of low-lying areas and crop lands of char areas have been submerged.
