Faridpur-2 by-polls on Saturday

By-elections to the Faridpur-2 constituency, which fell vacant following the demise of senior Awami League leader Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, will be held on Saturday (November 5).
The voting will start at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm. Already the voting materials have been sent to the polling booths.
It was known that, the constituency is consisted with Nagarkanda, Saltha upazila and Krishnapur union of Sadar upazila. It has 3.18 lakh voters. The election will be held in 123 voting centers.
Nagarkanda upazila election officer Abu Taleb said, all kinds of procedures taken to arrange a free, fair and neutral election. Sufficient law enforcers will be deployed in the voting centers.
A total of 1,052 CCTV cameras were installed in the by-polls. The Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal and other election commissioners will monitor the entire procedure from Dhaka, he added.
