Bangladeshi football fan unfurls 4km S. Korea flag

A football-mad man in Bangladesh has unfurled a homemade South Korea flag stretching four kilometres in support of his favourite team ahead of the World Cup.

The diehard fan is known as Abu Kausar Mintu, son of Abul Hashem, hailed from Khalla village of Dariakandi union under Banchharam upazila of Brahmanbaria.

Sources said the football fan made the massive flag selling his land property and ornaments of his wife.

 

 

It was known that Mintu was an expatriate. He went South Korea in 1998 to make a better career. He fell in love with football in 2002 during the football world cup in South Korea. Mintu and his wife planned to do something special ahead of this football world cup 2022. The couple saved Tk1.80 lakh to make the special flag. But the amount was not enough. So, he sold his land property and managed Tk3.20 lakh more. Then, the football fan from Brahmanbaria made his dreamy flag.
