Prime Minister’s Rangpur rally begins

The Rangpur divisional rally of Bangladesh Awami League began on Wednesday noon at Rangpur Zilla School ground.

The rally began at 12.15pm. Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to reach the venue at 3.00pm.

The entire Rangpur region has worn a festive mood as the Prime Minister is visiting Rangpur divisional headquarters after five years.

Enthusiasm and festivity has been seen among the local leaders and activists of the Awami League and its front and associate bodies. They started to gather at Rangpur Zilla School from the early morning.

The entire Rangpur has been decorated with banners, festoons, billboards and posters with photos of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In the rally, she will inaugurate 27 development schemes and lay foundation stones of five others, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novotheatre.
