Another equipment shipment for Rooppur plant reaches Mongla

A Russian ship carrying electrical equipment and machinery for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) has reached Mongla port in Bagerhat.

The Russian-flagged vessel docked at jetty no 8 of the port around 12.00pm on Tuesday.

Asim Saha, manager of Interport Shipping Agency Ltd, confirmed the news.

The ship left Petersburg in Russia for Mongla on August 31 with 2121.37 tonnes of electrical and mechanical products for the plant, he said.

\After unloading process, the goods will be transferred to the Rooppur plant.
