Tourist ship operations suspended on Teknaf-St Martin route

Tourist ship operations to Saint Martin's Island from Teknaf in Cox's Bazaar have been suspended due to adverse weather conditions.

The local administration on Monday (October 23) took the decision of suspending tourist ship operations, considering the safety of the tourists.

Teknaf upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Md Adnan Chowdhury confirmed the matter around 1:20pm.

The UNO said that currently there are approximately 1500 tourists on the island. They were asked to leave the Island soon.
