Case filed against 3 including driver of container train

A case has been filed against three people including the driver of the container train over the deadly train crash in Bhairab of Kishoreganj.

Billal Hossain, younger brother of deceased Nazrul Islam, filed the case with Bhairab Railway Thana.

The accused are Jahangir Alam, driver of the container train, Atikur Rahman, assistant driver, and Md Alamgir, director (guard).

Officer-in-Charge of Bhairab Railway Thana Alim Hossain Shikdar confirmed the news on Wednesday afternoon.

According to district administration, at least 17 people were killed and many others injured after a container train hit the passenger train ‘Egarosindur Express’ from behind around 3:45pm on Monday.
