Two drown in Mahananda

Two people including a child have drowned in the Mahananda River of Chapainawabganj.

They drowned around 11:30am on Wednesday when they were bathing in the river.

Later, divers of the fire service rescued the bodies around 3:30pm from Barghoria-Chamagram area, sources said. 

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Hossain, son of Shahin Ali at Chamagram village under Barghoria union in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila, and Maruf, 19, son of Abu Taleb of the same area. They were cousin.
