16 shops gutted in Kapasia fire

At least 16 shops were gutted in a fire broke out at Chandpur Bazar in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur on Saturday evening.

The fire broke out around 5:30pm.

Being informed, several fire service units from Gazipur and Kapasia rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with an effort of an hour,

Officer-in-Charge of Kapasia Thana Md Abubakar Mia said the fire originated from a gas cylinder shop. Later, the fire spread to nearby shops.
