Educational institutions reopens amid intense heatwave
Desk Report || risingbd.com
All educational institutions except three public universities across the country opened on Sunday (April 28) amid the severe heat wave.
However, though the primary schools will reopen, the classes of the pre-primary activities will remain closed until further notice.
A circular issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education confirmed the matter on Saturday (April 27).
According to the notice, school hours will be limited to the cooler morning hours, from 8am to 11:30am. For schools operating in two shifts, the first shift will run from 8am to 9:30am and the second from 9:45am to 11:30am.
Despite these changes, pre-primary level classes will remain closed until further notice, and daily school assemblies will be suspended to avoid prolonged exposure to the heat, said the notice.
