Quota protesters and BCL`s counter program today

Quota reform activists and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) have announced counter programs at Dhaka University campus areas.

Quota protesters will observe a new programme around 3:00 pm on Tuesday (July 16) in protest against attacks on fellow students on different campuses.

On the contrary, BCL announced a protest rally at Raju sculpture premises around 1:30 am.

Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, announced their program at around 9:30 pm on Monday.

In an interview around 11:00 pm, BCL president Saddam Hossain, said Chhatra League will hold protest program in all universities across the country at 1.30 pm.

Earlier, clashes broke out between Bangladesh Chhatra League activists and students protesting the quota system in government jobs at the Dhaka University campus. At least 300 students were injured in the clash that started around 3:00pm on Monday.
