RU closed until further order, students asked to leave halls

The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) have announced the closure of the institution for an indefinite period.

The students were also asked to vacate their dormitories by 12:00 pm on Wednesday.

A press release issued by the public relation office of the public university yesterday (July 17) said the closure decision has been taken taking the security issue of the students into special consideration.

The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy making body of the country's second largest university.
