HSC results to be prepared with combination of JSC-SSC marks

The result of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be prepared with the combination of 25 marks from Junior School Certificate (JSC) and 75 marks from Secondary School Certificate (SSC) following subject mapping system.

For this, the education board has collected some information and documents required by the candidates.

A source at the inter-education board disclosed the information on Wednesday (September 11). 

Officials at the inter-education board said six HSC and equivalent examinations, which were suspended due to the quota reform movement and subsequent formation of the interim government, were cancelled. Subject mapping of JSC and SSC exams will be done to facilitate the evaluation of cancelled subjects. In this case, 25 percent of the marks obtained in JSC and 75 percent of the marks obtained in SSC will be given to the students in the respective subject.

In this regard, Dhaka Education Board Chairman and Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee President Tapan Kumar Sarkar said, “Exams were cancelled during the Coronavirus pandemic. Later, the results of the previous examination were published following subject mapping process. This time the results will be prepared following that method. That proposal has been sent to the ministry. The results will be published soon when the decision comes.”
