65 colleges see 0% pass rate

The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2024 have been published with a pass rate of 77.78% in 11 education boards of Bangladesh.

A total of 1,45,911 students attained GPA-5 this year.

However, 65 educational institutions across the country have witnessed a 0% pass rate in this year’s HSC and equivalent exams, marking a significant increase of institutions with 0% pass rate from the previous year.

Last year, the number of institutions with 0% pass rate was 42.

In 2022, the number of institutions with no passing students was 50.

Students from 9,187 institutions participated in this year’s exams. The overall pass rate for the HSC and equivalent exams in 2024 is 77.78%, which is slightly lower than the previous year’s 78.64%.

This year, the exams took place across 2,695 centres under 11 education boards, with 1,450,790 students participating.
