Students’ clash: Exams of seven colleges postponed

The final examinations of the fourth year honours of seven government colleges affiliated with the Dhaka University, scheduled for Tuesday (November 26), have been postponed.
But classes of colleges except Kabi Nazrul Government College and Suhrawardy College will be held as per routine.
On Monday (November 25), a notification signed by DU Examination Controller Md. Bahalul Haque Chowdhury was issued in this regard.
Students of Kabi Nazrul Government College and Government Shahid Suhrawardy College carried out an attack and vandalized Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) at Demra in the capital’s Jatrabari area.
During the attack, several students got stuck inside the Mollah College building. On information, army personnel rushed to the spot to rescue those stranded inside the college.
The attacking students launched the vandalism and attack on the college around 12:30 pm on Monday (November 25) and looted various things including books, chairs and tables. Several students injured in the attack were seen taking to hospital nearby.
